General Tso's Chicken

Ingredients

  • 1 pound organic chicken breasts
  • 3 cloves garlic chopped
  • 2 tbsp dark brown sugar
  • 1 tsp dried ginger
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 bag frozen broccoli

Instructions

  • Combine garlic, ginger, brown sugar, soy sauce and crushed red pepper flakes in a bowl then add chicken (can use Coconut aminos and maple syrup as substitute for soy sauce and brown sugar). 
  • Pour all chicken and sauce into crockpot and cook on low for 5 hours
  • Add broccoli and cook for an additional hour
  • Serve over brown rice (count brown rice separately from nutrition facts of this recipe)
